Jeremy and Erin Burns are the President and CEO of Timberlake Ministries. They both were born and raised in the Columbus, MS area. They were married in the Spring of 1998 and soon after became the youth leaders at a small United Methodist Church in Ethelsville, Alabama. In the spring of 2000, Jeremy and Erin took that youth group to a weekend retreat at a church camp. Their experience that weekend led them to began praying about starting a Christian campground closer to the Columbus area.
They talked to trusted friends and family and after much prayer and soul searching began looking for the appropriate location. Two years later in February of 2002, Jeremy found what is now the location of Timberlake, off Hwy 96E just west of the Millport, AL city limits. Timberlake was incorporated into a nonprofit 501(c)3 coorporation in April of 2002 and 244 acres was officially purchased in July of that same year. God’s hand has been evident in leading them to this land and starting this organization.
